decades

If someone had told me 10 years ago that I would be [blank] I wouldn't have believed them. How often do you make this statement? It's crazy how quickly time slips by isn't it? I often wonder how I got to where I am today and if this is what I was expecting. It never is what you had planned.

I think it would be so fun to see my ten-year-younger self. Just to hear my voice, see my clothes, and look into my less wrinkly eyes.  Ten years ago I was just twenty-two, in fourth year at UWO studying Business. There was no Facebook, no iPhones, no HD. I was broken hearted and lived in a very small world. I had no idea what I was doing with my life and the options seemed to be overwhelmingly unlimited. If I could now, I would love to sit down and have a chat with my twenty-two year old self.

Well, that's just what two of my highschool buddies are about to do as they embark on finishing a film project ten years in the making. In 2002 they began a film project meant to raise questions about their beliefs, identities, and goals in life and how they would change over the course of a decade. They thought that the people best equipped to answer these fundamental questions would be themselves, but ten years in the future. So, they made a deal (using tattoos as a contract) to meet in 2012 at the Northern tip of Iceland (of all places) to finish the project and answer their questions.

I am so excited for these two and I just had to share with all of you because knowing these guys for as long as I have, I know that this is going to be a very cool film. The response already has been overwhelming and it's only been a few days. If you get a chance to check out their site and share the love. I think you'll be inspired too.

Stay tuned!
