eat, pray, love

Normally I wouldn't support an over-hyped, Oprah endorsed book-turned-movie, but I say just go see it. Julia Roberts is surprisingly tolerable as Liz Gilbert and she only throws down her signature laugh a few times (but appropriately). My only complaint would be that it's a titch on the long side. Overall I felt really inspired leaving the theatre and like I'd just come back from a vacation (like you want to change the way you live). It kinda made me want to read the book.

You all know the story so grab your mom and check it out (I know you want to!).

You'll thank me later.

I really want to see this movie despite the sprinkling of bad reviews that I’ve come across. Generally I like to make my own mind up about films – often they’re so personal in how they touch you (or repulse) so I’m not put off by some people having issue. I haven’t read the book either (bad pop culture girl!) but even watching the movie’s trailer, it made we want to read the book too.
